Arizona Teams traveling!

Las Vegas Baseball Academy Desert Fall Classic

Several Arizona teams traveled to Nevada this past weekend to compete in the Las Vegas Baseball Academy’s Desert Fall Classic!  Below is a brief snapshot of how each team did!

14U:

The AZ Hotshots went to Las Vegas with one thing on their mind and that was a championship.  After finishing pool play with a 3-1 mark, a trip to the Quarter Finals was in order. First up was Team Kado from California and the Hot Shots made quick work of them winning by a final of 16-6! IN the Semi the Hotshots whipped up on Mound Time from Oregon 14-2.  On the other side of the bracket it was the Las Vegas Elite coming out on top.  IN the finals thought he home team was too much as they defeated the Hot Shots by a score of 6-1.    The Yuma Outlaws also represented Arizona well as they posted a 3-1 mark in pool play before losing in the Quarter Final to Mound Time from Oregon 6-2.

10U:

The Scottsdale Dirtbags finished pool play with a 3-1 mark. This was good enough to earn them a trip to the Quarter Finals where they came up a little short as they were defeated by the Toluca Titans from California by a score of 12-7.  Wins over TABU, Play Hard, and Naranjeros all from California earned this team from Scottsdale much respect!

11U:

The Yuma Outlaws were the lone representative from Arizona in the 11U division and they struggled as they posted a 0-4 mark. The Outlaws get major props for traveling and challenging themselves.

12U:

IN the 12u division Arizona was represented by two teams; the 520 elite and the Yuma Outlaws.  The Elite finished the weekend with a mark 2-2 and played solid all weekend.  They recorded wins over the Treasure Island Pirates and the Las Vegas Metrostars.  The Outlaws on the other hand also won two games as they too posted a record of 2-2.  They beat the Vegas Vipers 11-1 and then the So Cal Mavs 3-2 before losing to the SoCal Outlaws and the Norcal Valley Baseball Club.

13U:

The Desert Dragons Black, Yuma Infernos, and the Scottsdale Dragons all competed in the 13u division.  Although the three teams combined for a record of 7-5 none of them made the playoffs this year.  Both Dragon teams finished 2-2, while the Inferno finished 3-1 on the weekend!
