The NC Predators organization based out of the Raleigh, NC has players from Central and Eastern North Carolina. This organization has built a winning tradition. Over the past 5 years, Predators teams have won 39 tournaments, highlighted by 2 National Championships, 9 North Carolina State Championships and 11 first place finishes in higher age group tournaments. The 13U NC Predators Baseball team, coached by Ken Daniels, is ready to compete with the best. Coach Daniels believes this current squad could be his best. The Predators are a blend of speed, power, fundamental defense and discipline. Pitching: Jason Hunter, Jackson Bellenkes, DJ Burt and Anthony Galavotti all boast fastballs in the mid to high 70's while Mike Sconzo, Evan Nations, Jordan Yates and Brett Daniels have great change of speed with their secondary pitch to keep the batters off balance. Defense: the team is led by it's middle ... Jason Hunter, Jackson Bellenkes and Mike Sconzo all possess "pop" times under 2.1 sec. (54/80) and can block to the plate with the best. DJ Burt, Brett Daniels, Mike Sconzo and Jordan Yates share the double play duo roles while Jordan Harris and Brett McMillan share patrolling Center. Tyler Zimmerman, Anthony Galavotti, Justin Warren and Evan Nations guard the corners. Offense: DJ Burt, Jason Hunter and Brett Daniels are hitting over .500 while Tyler Zimmerman, Jackson Bellenkes, Jordan Yates, Jordan Harris and Mike Sconzo are hitting over .400. Speed: DJ Burt, Jordan Harris, Brett McMillan, Jason Hunter and Mike Sconzo all have 60 yd. times under 7.6 sec. This season the Predators haven't lost a game in their age group and have won 25 straight, outscoring the opponents 276-54. This only motivates the players even more to finish the season strong. The Fall season will end mid November and off season speed and agility workouts will begin in December. Team practices will start back in January and tournament play will begin in March. Coach Daniels really believes in this team and the fact that you are only as good as the competition you play. With hard work and desire, this team has the potential to earn a berth to the 13U Elite 24 in Disney and will schedule tournaments with that goal in mind. The rest of the goals are simple ...
