It’s time for all the proud families and friends to throw out those predictions for the upcoming year. New field sizes, changing teams,
and new teams and can’t forget…(puberty .
Looks like the first tournament of the year will start in Conyers Ga. on Aug. 14-15th.
I know it’s only fall ball and kids are playing both football and baseball. But this is travel ball !!!
Teams are finishing tryouts and filling those few select spots with
what they hope to be the next Bryce Harper.
ECB Astros, Road Runners, Ga. Academy/Chili Dogs, Elite Gamers, etc. will all have some new faces. I just wanted to start the competative juices to flowing between the teams! Makes for good reading!
Good Luck to all and stay healthy.
P.S. to those dads who love to hunt but wouldn’t miss a sons game… I feel your pain(BUT I wouldn’t trade a game for a Booner).
This might be a little off topic but I think it pertains to all of the ga teams. When/where is the east cobb 13u tournament and how many of these teams come to it?
What in the heck is a Booner? Yes, CA born and raised …
“Booner”… A whitetail deer that meets or exceeds minimum requirements (in inches of antler)to make the Boone and Crockett record book.
In dad terms “1 big a$$ deer”!!!
This is a southern thing.
But we all make sacrifices in one way or another. Missing birthdays, weddings, great seats at a sporting event, etc..
As far as the East Cobb Tournaments, they usually draw quite a crowd. I don’t know of any dates yet. With the changing of some teams and ECB Astros splitting to two teams, It should make for some great ball.
Watch out for the new team on the block, The BCBaseball Elite (BlackCrackers Elite) in the 13u and the 14u…..2 World Series titles in 1 year has really helped the recruiting and I heard the Coach of the BlackCrackers has a real good handle on coaching.
Is this the BC elite team out of Colombus, Ga.?
Are they Major or AAA? Will they wet their feet in the Atlanta
I hope to see some new faces at the top this year! I’ll have to keep
them on the radar. I’ll be pulling for the Elite Gamers out of McDonough. The Blue team finished strong winning AAA sub-state, AAA state, Global open state, and Grand slam LLWS in P.C.. Now they combined with the Major team out of their own facility and are fielding very strong team. It was a tough decision to release alot
of very good ballplayers but I hope it will pay off in the end.
We’ll be in the Conyers Tournament this weekend to start putting
kids in spots. It’s hard to do when you have 11 pitchers/short stops/catchers. Kids will be playing new spots. Thank goodness for fall ball to work out the wrinkles.
Yes, this is the BCB Elite out of Columbus Ga. Finally, there is a power from West Ga that should be able to compete with the big boys. The older BlackCrackers (last year’s 13’s) did good winning USSSA Global World in Southaven Miss and CamSports World Series in Milledgeville. Watch out for this year’s 13’s as 6 of the kids that played 13’s last year are staying put hungry to compete at their right age level. With a couple of good pick ups, which has happened the BCB Elite will be tough!
East Cobb putting on a fall tourney drawing in a couple of local teams to watch. ECB Titans, ECB xtreme, Stixx baseball, Elite Gamers, MGBA brave(Marquis Grissom) and Knockhouse Saints(Cecil Fielders Complex 13u team). There is also about 6 other very quality teams suiting up. Should be one to watch this weekend. This one is drawing them in from as far away as South Carolina (in the 13u). Tourney also has drawn over a hundred teams from the southeast in multiple age brackets. Smack is going to fly after the smoke clears in the ATL.
The problem down here is local school football keeps alot of kids off the diamond till November(be it injury or just can’t make practices because their whipped from football).
Wher does the name (black crackers) come from? Just quoirious.
Triple Crown Tourney was almost as expected. Stixx baseball out of Warner Robbins Ga. -vs- Elite Gamers out of McDonough Ga. in finals.
Gamers eliminate ECB xtreme 10-0 in quarter finals.
Stixx take out Cecil Fielders 13u Knockhouse 10-9 in quarters.
In the semis Gamers beat a scappy Marquis Grissom Braves team 7-5 to put the Gamers in the championship and the Stixx take out the local favorite ECB Titans 12-6.
In the championship game the teams stay close till the end and the Stixx finished the a surge to win it all 7-4.
This was a fall preview of the Gamers new team having come into the tourney on only one practice as a group and moving up to the Majors. Stixx entered the contest as a returning powerhouse with a couple of pick up players off a CBA Cyclones team and Bryce Denton(southeast hired bat).
In all good tourney, they just need to stay away from Mount Bethel park. It is located at a major Marietta intersection and the backstop has less then 30 feet behind the fence and the road. We went through at least 18-20 baseballs in one game and hit quite a few passing cars with fouls.
South side of Georgia has a great showing in an East Cobb Tournament.
Keep Southeast Baseball in mind….

Never heard of ya.
I don’t see you signed up for the SLUGFEST March 4th-6th. Will you be fielding a team under another name?? Will they be playing in Div.1 or Div.2?? How come we haven’t heard of you before if your suppose to be ECB’s big competitor? We don’t play up in East Cobb, we tend to stay a little lower of Atlanta(where you don’t have to buy your way into good ball)LOL. Lets hear some of your 13U’s resume.
