Final 2017 Travelball Select 12U Rankings

1 GBG Renegades (CAS)
The Renegades traveled all across America to play against the best teams in the country this season. They were co-champions of this year’s Travelball National Championship after an exciting finish against the MGBA Bulldogs. They managed to defeat the Bulldogs, Astros, and SD Show in the event as well.  Also had a great outing at the USA Baseball NTIS as they went a perfect 6-0 which included wins over the D-Bat Elite and SB Bees (2x).

 2 MGBA Bulldogs (GA)
The Bulldogs showed once again that they can perform on the big stage as they were named co-champions of this year’s Travelball National Championship. They took down D-Bat, Team Xtreme and the Midwest Elite along the way. Won six straight games to claim the title in the Charlotte Beast of the East SNIT and capped it off with a win over East Rowan in the finals. 

3 D-Bat Elite North (TXN)
Started off with five straight wins at the Travelball National Championship before dropping back to back games to the MGBA Bulldogs and Team Xtreme. They managed to defeat the Bulldogs and EC Tigers (2x) earlier that week. Took runner up to the Kangaroo Court in the NYBC after dropping a 10-2 game to them in the finals. Wound up taking second place to GBG Renegades in the USA Baseball NTIS but not before handing the Wilson MVP a pair of losses. Won all six of their games in the Midsouth Select30 SNIT and capped it off with solid playoff wins over the Memphis Tigers and Team Xtreme.

4 Team Xtreme Adiktiv (FLP)
Team Xtreme made it all the way to the final game of the Cooperstown WS (week 5) but couldn’t seal the deal against Club All Star. They took third place in this year’s Travelball National Championship after getting knocked out by the Bulldogs in the semifinals. They managed to defeat the EC Tigers, SD Show and D-Bat earlier in the tournament. Started off 3-0 with a win over the STX Banditos in the Governor’s Games Select30 SNIT before the event was rained out. Made it all the way to the final game of the Midsouth Select30 SNIT before running out of gas against D-Bat Elite.

5 Kangaroo Court (FLS)
The Kangaroo Court ended their season on a high note as they take home the NYBC title. They picked up playoff wins over the D-Bat Elite, Tri State Arsenal and Sandcrabs Baseball along the way. Recovered from an early loss in the GA/FL Showdown NIT and came back to win the event with wins over the 643 Cougars and 5 Star National.  

6 Tri-State Arsenal Prime (NJ)
A team full of hard working kids who put together an incredible final record of 61-8-1. Won the PG Super25 National Championship after defeating the Evoshield Canes 3-2 in the final game. Impressive showing in week 10 of the Cooperstown WS as they win all 11 of their games and record a commanding 14-0 win over the Puget Sound Powerhouse in the finals. Took third place in the NYBC after losing to eventual champs Kangaroo Court in the semifinals.

  7 Wilson MVP Elite (CAS)
Went a perfect 8-0 to take home the title at the U-Trip International WS. They picked up notable wins over the Chino Hills Thunder and El Monte Dukes along the way. Finished up 2-2 in the NYBC with wins over the LBC Broncos and ASBA Crawdads. Couldn’t find a way to get past the D-Bat Elite in the USA Baseball NTIS and wound up finishing the event in third place.

8 Genesis (FLS)
Genesis had an outstanding showing at this year’s DeMarini Elite WS as they take home the gold with a final record of 8-1. They recorded wins over the Gamblers and WFBA Hammerheads (2x) along the way. Finished up 7-2 in week 5 of the Cooperstown WS after losing to Team Xtreme in their third playoff game. Took first place the local U-Trip Summer Slam Qualifier as they prepare for their postseason schedule.

  9 Lamorinda Vikings (CAN)
Remain one of the top programs out of California, the Trojans are a true powerhouse. Played up in the 13U division of the Under Armour State Championships and finished in second place with a final record of 3-1. Just barely missed the cut for playoffs at the NYBC as they finish the event 2-2 with wins over the OTC Ballers and Jr. Ducks.

10 East Cobb Tigers (GA)
The Tigers round out our top 10 as gritty bunch of kids who never backed down from the competition. The Tigers finished off their season with a very strong showing in Week 4 of the Cooperstown WS as they win 11 straight games to take down the title. Made some noise in this year’s Travelball National Championship as they finish with a final record of 6-4. Noteworthy wins include the SD Show, Cincy Flames, and Top Tier. They also managed to defeat several of Georgia’s premier ball clubs earlier in the season.

11 Motor City Hitdogs (MI)
Great showing in Week 9 of the Cooperstown WS as they secure the #1 seed and win 11 straight games to take home the gold. Champions of the Michigan Open State tourney as they went 6-0 while defeating Saginaw Bay and the Michigan Bulls. Took home the title in the U-Trip Memorial Day SNIT which included a 4-3 playoff win over Saginaw Bay.

12 Top Tier Americans (IL)
Ended their season by making the trip down to Georgia to compete in the Travelball National Championship. They finished the event 3-4 with a couple noteworthy wins over the EC Astros and Indiana Outlaws. Cruised to a first-place finish in the U-Trip Battle of the Rings NIT with a 9-1 win over the Sticks Red in the finals.

13 Gamblers (FLS)
Took second place in this year’s DeMarini Elite WS after falling to Genesis 8-2 in the final game. They managed to defeat the Yalobusha Giants and Cincy Flames earlier in the event. Won the Last Chance State Championship which included impressive wins over Five Star National and Genesis.

14 San Diego Show (CAC)
Finished off their year with a 4-3 outing at the Travelball National Championship. They recorded notable wins over the EC Astros, Team Xtreme and Ironmen in the event. Won their first five games of Xtreme Diamond Sports WS before dropping a 4-3 game to eventual champs Nashville Stars.

  15 Midwest Elite – Wolfe (OK)
Finished up 2-4 in this year’s Travelball National Championship with wins over the Top Tier Americans and OTC Ballers. Champions of the KC Sports Memorial Day Select30 SNIT after going 7-0 and taking down the Dirtbags in the final game. Won their first four games of the Shootout Turf Invitational before running out of gas against the OK Nationals in the ‘ship.

16 Sandcrabs (TXS)
After splitting their PP games to start off the NYBC, they were sent home in the first round of playoffs by eventual champs Kangaroo Court. Had a tough draw in the Governor’s Games Select30 SNIT as they split their pool play games and then lose to the TX Slam in the first round of playoffs. Won back to back 13U championships as they continue to seek out tough opponents. 

17 Dirtbags (MO)
Capped off their year with back to back Global WS titles. They posted a combined record of 16-0 which included wins over the Rawlings Prospects, Five-Four Elite and Columbia Warriors. Won six straight games as they take home the MO/KAN State Championship. They defeated they Midwest Blacksox 7-1 in the final game.

18 Yalobusha Giants (MS)
Made a deep run in this year’s DeMarini Elite WS but was eventually sent home by the Gamblers in the quarter finals. They finished with a final record of 6-3 which included wins over the Gamblers and STX Banditos Black. Won all four of their games to take home the West TN/MS Major State Championship.

19 SB Bees (CAN)
The Bees ended the year as one of Northern California’s toughest teams and managed to win several events at both the 12U and 13U level. They really started to come together at the end of the season and finished off with 12 straight wins. They wound up going 3-3 in the USA Baseball NTIS after getting knocked out by the GBG Renegades.

20 East Cobb Astros (GA)
Finished up 3-4 including a win over MWE in the Travelball National Championship. Won all six of their games to take down the TC Club Nationals. They finished off the event with a dominating 16-4 win over 643 in the ‘ship. Played up in the 13U TC State Championship and managed to advance past the first round before falling to the GA Canes.

21 3n2 Warriors (CO)
Cruised to a first-place finish at the Under Armour NIT Championship against a weaker field. Won all five of their games in the Colorado State Championships and defeated the Armour 6-5 in the finals. Took third place in the Spring Championship SNIT after dropping a 9-5 game to the LA Xtreme in the semifinals.

 22 Cincy Flames (OH)
The Flames took runner up to the SWA Storm in Week 6 of the Cooperstown WS after a tough 1-run loss to them in the final game. After winning all four of their pool play games to start off the Travelball National Championship, the Flames dropped playoff games to the EC Tigers and MGBA Bulldogs to end their run early. Finished up 3-4 in the DeMarini Elite WS with wins over the SFL Hitmen and LA Lockdown (2x). Won back to back SNIT’s with a combined record of 9-0 which included a win over the Indiana Outlaws. 

23 Cyclones (AR)
Took runner up to WFBA in week 1 of Cooperstown after losing a 4-1 game to them in the finals. Won five straight games to take home the title in the Arkansas Major State tourney. They finished off the event with a commanding 11-0 win over the FSBA Warriors. Won their first three games of the Midsouth Select30 SNIT before getting eliminated by Team Xtreme. Big weekend at the Twin City Shootout SNIT as they defeat the Tractions Canes Black 6-5 in the championship game. 

24 Traction Canes Black (LA)
Took runner up in the Louisiana State Championships after a losing a 1-run ball game to Carrollton in the finals. After winning both of their pool games in the Governors Games SNIT, the Canes were upset by Tornado Baseball in the first round of playoffs. Won all five of their games to claim first place in the ESPN Radio Ring em’ Up NIT. 

25 Memphis Tigers – Lyons (TNW)
Finished up 7-1 in week four of the Cooperstown WS after getting eliminated by Team DeMarini in their second playoff game. Held a 3-1 record in the 13U June Jam Qualifier before the event was unfortunately rained out. Finished up 1-2 in the Governor’s Games SNIT with a win over the SETX Banditos Black. Made it all the way to the semifinals if the Midsouth Select30 SNIT before losing to eventual champs D-Bat Elite.

Honorable Mentioned (By Region)

Five Star National (FLN)
Took third place in the PG Super25 National Championship after losing to the Evoshield Canes in the semifinals. Finished up 2-2 in Last Chance State Championship after taking losses to top ranked FL Genesis and Gamblers.

Elite Squad Outlaws (FLS)
Claimed the title in Week 2 of Cooperstown after defeating the Golden Spikes Cowboys 9-3 in the championship game. Started off 3-0 in the STB Spring Classic Select30 SNIT before getting sent home by the 5 Star National.

Georgia Bandits (GA)
The Bandits had a strong showing at the Travelball National Championship to finish of their season. After a shaky start, they battled through to win Mid-Major bracket with back to back wins over the Indiana Outlaws. 

 6-4-3 DP Cougars (GA)
Took runner up to the EC Astros in the TC Club Nationals but not before eliminating the GA Bombers earlier in the event. Finished up 7-1 in Week 3 of the Cooperstown WS after losing their second playoff game to the Tennessee Elite.

  Tennessee Elite (TNC)
Made it all the way to the final four in the third week of the Cooperstown WS before getting knocked out by eventual champs Fishhawk Wolves. After a 2-0 start to the Stars and Stripes Summer State Championship, they lost in the opening round of playoffs to the Knoxville Stars. 

 M3 Elite (TNC)
Secured the #1 seed and then won a couple playoff games before losing to eventual champs Club All Star in the 5th week of the Cooperstown WS. Played against a strong field at the Travelball National Championship and finish the event with a 10-8 win over the Parkview Panthers. 

 RBA South Thunder (VA)
Finished off their season by winning all four games of a local U-Trip Summer event. Won the Northeast SNIT with a perfect 5-0 record and win over RBA South in the finals.

Dallas Patriots Davis (TXN)
Third place finish in the U-Trip TX State Championship after getting eliminated by the Dallas Tigers in 1-run loss. Played up an age group in the 13U North TX SNIT and ended up taking home the title with a final record of 5-1. 

 Kings Martinez (TXS)
Made a deep run in this year’s DeMarini Elite WS before eventually getting knocked out by the South Florida Wolfpack. They took down the GA/FL Boys (2x) and Bronx Bombers earlier in the event. Won off four of their games in a local U-Trip Qualifier as they prepare for postseason play. 

  Indiana Outlaws (IN)
Finished up 3-5 in this year’s Travelball National Championship with wins over the GA Bandits, Panhandle A’s and M3 Elite. Took home the title in the U-Trip Memorial Day Border Wars which included playoff wins over the Ironmen and Indiana Elite. Took second place to the Cincy Flames in the Indy Festival SNIT after a hard fought 3-2 loss to them in the finals.

BC KC Rawlings Prospects (KS)
Won their first seven games of the U-Trip Liberty Global WS before eventually falling to the Dirtbags in the championship. Won all four of their games to claim first place in the Hawaiian Hitfest NIT.

Beaver Valley Red (PA)
Managed to secure the #1 seed in Week 7 of the Cooperstown WS but was eventually sent home by Carrolton in their third round of playoffs. Third place finish in the Memorial Day SNIT after losing a 9-3 game to the Michigan Bulls in the semis.

Utah Yard Dawgs (UT)
Champions of this year’s TC World Series as they go 7-1 to take home the title. They capped it off with a 16-1 win over the SGV Saints in the championship game. Managed to secure the #1 seed in Week 3 of Cooperstown before getting eliminated in their first playoff game.

Wilson Sandlot (AZ)
Played up in several 13U events throughout the season in order to prove that they can hang with tougher competition. They won the 13U Cinco De Mayo Classic with four straight wins against local talent.

LA Xtreme Elite (CAS)
Finished up 3-4 in the DeMarini Elite WS with wins over the GA/FL Boys, West Coast Baseball and the CBC Baseball Club. Took runner up to the CBA Bulldogs National in the Spring Championship SNIT but not before taking down the 3n2 Warriors in the previous round.
