12U National Rankings Update....Sunshine State Shuffles! Print E-mail

1.   (1) Tomateros de California (Paramount, CA) – The Tomateros continue to dominate the competition as they won the Triple Crown Sports So Cal State Championships over the Memorial Day Weekend. This team has been ranked No. 1 all year long and they certainly know how to win tournaments.
 

2.  (3) Chet Lemon's Juice (Orlando, FL) – The Juice won the AAU Florida State Championships defeating Honorable Mention Team Clap Bat in the Championship. This team has the ability to finish No. 1 at the end of the year.
 

3.  (2) Leon Medical Centers Baseball (Miami, FL) – The Leon Medical Centers Baseball team is pushing to be No. 1 in the country. This team is respected all across the southeast.
 

4.  (4) GBC Team Acceleration (Greensboro, NC) – GBC is coming off a championship at the Summer Slam tournament held in North Carolina last weekend. This team has their eyes set on a championship at the Elite 32, don’t be surprised if they walk away with the trophy in Disney.
 

5.  (5) Dallas Patriots (Dallas, TX) – The Dallas Patriots finished 2nd in the ultra-competitive Rooly Texas League with a 11-5 record. With the likes of Twelve Team Rawlings, OK Elite, Tri-City Dust Devils, Texas Nationals and Texas Stix finishing 2nd in the Rooly League is an incredible feat.

 

6.   (6) Tanel 360 VooDoo (Louisiana) – The VooDoo are currently on a 20 game win streak including a championship last weekend at Global Sports Governors Games II. The VooDoo went 6-0 in the tournament. This is the surprise team of the year and the rest of the country should watch out.

 

7.   (7) Lamorinda Monarchs (Moraga, CA) – The Monarchs picked up a huge championship at the World Series of NorCal. The tournament included the best teams Northern California has to offer at the 12U age group with the Monarchs, Hard 90 Phenom Premier, Bay Valley Bombers Orange and San Ramon Slammers. The Monarchs went 5-0 on the weekend sweeping series from the Hard 90 and the San Ramon Slammers. The Monarchs also picked up a tournament victory at the Triple Crown Sports May Day tournament.

 

8.  (10) Oklahoma Elite (Edmond, OK) – The Elite move up two spots in the rankings due to a 4th place finish in the Rooly Texas League and a runner-up finish at the Memorial Day Super NIT in Kansas City. The Elite went 6-1 in the tournament with their only loss coming in the Championship game to the Dallas Royals.
 

9.   (8) California Dynamite (Glendora, CA) – The Dynamite went 2-2-1 at the dropping one spot in this week’s polls. The Dynamite made it to the quarterfinals before being put out. This is a very good team, look for them to bounce back in a big way.

 

10.  (12) Tri City Dust Devils (Longview, TX) – The Dust Devils might be the hottest team in the country, the Dust Devils finished 3rd in the Rooly League with a 10-4-1 record and won the Super NIT in Houston. The Dust Devils then won the Nations Baseball Texas Invitational going 7-0 in the tournament. The Dust Devils defeated the Most Feared Baseball team in the Finals.

 

 11. (9) East Cobb Astros (Marietta, GA) – The Astros finished runner-up at the Triple Crown Sports North Atlanta Open. The Astros went 5-1 in the tournament before being put out in the Finals. This is a team that heats up as the summer heat comes to Georgia.

 

12. (11) MBA Pride (Port Orange, FL) – The Pride recently won the Northeast Florida State Championship defeating the Honorable Mention Team Clap Bat in the semis and the Honorable Mention Beyel Brothers Bulldogs in the Finals. The Pride has put it all together and the other teams in Florida better take notice.
 

 13. (14) Twelve Team Rawlings (College Station, TX) – The Twelve move up two spots due to winning the tough Rooly Texas League with a 12-3 record. Four weekends of tough competition and the Rawlings found a way to win, that’s what this team does, they win.

 

14. (17) Las Vegas Warriors Red (Las Vegas, NV) – The Warriors finished 3rd at the Triple Crown Sports SoCal State Championships. The Warriors were put out by the San Diego Show in the semis. The Warriors are beginning to make a name for themselves.
 

 15. (13) Tampa Crush (Tampa, FL) The Crush are one of the most respected organizations in the state of Florida. The Crush have put out a winning team every weekend.

 

16. (15) Texas Nationals Team (Woodlands, TX) – The Nationals finished the Rooly Texas League with a 7-5 record. The Nationals also went 4-1 in the Nations Baseball Texas Invitational, losing in the quarterfinals. The Nationals look like they are putting everything together at the right time.

 

 

 

17. (18) Arizona Revolution (Arizona) – The Revolution are clearly the best team from Arizona and continue to make a name for themselves throughout the entire west coast. The Revolution will not be sneaking up on anyone anytime soon.

 

 

 

18. (23) Nitro Baseball (Ocala, FL) The Nitro continue to make a big splash in travel baseball in the state of Florida. The Nitro are coming off a tournament championship at the Florida State Championships.

 

 

 

19. (NR) San Diego Show (San Diego, California)- The Show won the Spring Championships Super NIT earlier this year and just recently finished runner-up to the No. 1 ranked Tomateros de CA in the Finals of the SoCal State Championship. The Show have what it takes to beat any team in California.

 

20. (20) Banditos Black (Tomball, TX) – The Banditos went 3-3 in the Nations Baseball Texas Invitational before losing in the Semi Finals to the eventual Champions, Tri-City Dust Devils. The Banditos are playing in more tournaments and other teams should be weary.

 

21. (19) D1 Elite (West Boynton Beach, FL) – The Elite went 2-2 at the Coral Springs Memorial Tournament held in South Fla over the Memorial Day Weekend. The Elite are still putting everything together, look for them to bounce back from this tournament.

 

22. (16)  Miami Playmakers (Miami, FL) – The Playmakers are still putting things together this year. Look for this team to climb the rankings before this season is over with.

 

23. (NR) Dallas Royals (Dallas, Texas)- The Royals are coming off the biggest tournament win they have had this year as they defeated the No. 8 ranked Oklahoma Elite in the Championship Game of the Memorial Day Super NIT in Kansas City, Missouri. The Royals break into the top 25 for the first time this year, earning their way in.

 

24. (NR) Detroit Bees (Detroit, Michigan)- The Bees went 6-0 on their way to the championship at the Memorial Day Super NIT in Michigan. The Bees have a 26-3 overall record and is one of the top teams in all of the country.

 

25.  (22) West Pines Nike Cobras (Pembroke Pines, FL) – The Cobras went 3-0 on their way to the championship at the Florida Premier Sports Spring Playoff Tournament. The Cobras are starting to put everything together and when they do, the state of Florida better watch out.
