9U CABA World Series (Gold Bracket) - Mac-N-Seitz Indians (KS) and Lincoln Way Prospects Print E-mail

The Mac-N-Seitz Indians and Lincoln Way Prospects collided in a match up of the two remaining unbeaten teams at CABA to see who would advance to the championship game of the Gold Bracket.  With no outs the Prospects loaded the bases in the top of the first but were only able to tally one run.  The Indians tied the game up with a run in the bottom of the first.

 

With the score even at 3-3 in the bottom of the 3rd, Christian Franklin launched a 3 run home run to right center putting the Indians up 6-3.  The Prospects fought back in the top of the 4th scoring 4 runs and taking a 7-6 lead, and scoring more runs than the Indians had given up over the prior seven games of the tournament.

 

Then inspired Indians got their bats moving as they scored 9 runs in the bottom of the 4th, including a second home run by Christian Franklin, and beating the Prospects 15-7.  The Indians, who improved their season record to 41-2, will await the winner of the Lincoln Way Prospects and the Ohio Heat for the championship game.
