Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex, FL When you talk to any coach who is playing at the Elite 32, they will all tell you the same thing. Pitching is the most important thing and you need to save it at all costs. The Piranz followed that blueprint to a tee in an 8-0 four inning game against the Sugar Canes.
Nick Adams and Charlie Vonwerne had identical pitching lines as they each threw two innings and allowed only one hit apiece.
Xavier Edwards made the pitchers job a lot easier by going 2-3 with 4 RBI. He also swiped five bases during the game.
Coach Jovan Edwards couldn’t be happier with where his team stands in regards to pitching, “I have all of my top pitchers available, my regulars haven’t thrown since Sunday.” Ethan Levi, Xavier Smith, Sean Houck and Raymond Sanchez all figure to get a lot of mound time in the next few days.
