10U AAU National Championships Bracket Play Semi Final - Piranaz vs. Houston Wranglers Print E-mail

Orlando, FL   The Piranaz and the Houston Wranglers drew each other in bracket play of the AAU National Championships. The Wranglers used their powerful offense to drive past the Piranaz by a score of 5-2.

 

The Piranaz got on the board first in this one scoring one run in the as Raymond Sanchez singled home Xavier Edward to go up 1-0. In the second, Logan Swann got the Wranglers on the board when he singled home James Webster to tie it all up. The Piranaz answered back though in the bottom half going up 2-1 when Ethan Levi crossed home on an RBI single. In the third the Wranglers went up 3-2 on a two run long ball off the bat of Peter Geib. And again in the fifth the Wranglers would get another two run shot from Logan Swann to seal the deal at 5-2.

 

Winning pitcher in the match up was Will Mercer who pitched five complete innings giving up two runs on five hits. Leading hitters for the Wranglers were Peter Geib (2-3 HR) and Logan Swann (2-3 HR).
