|10U NABF World Series Semi-Finals|

July 8, 2010 – Southaven, Mississippi’s Snowden Grove Park - The 10U NABF World Series Semi-Finals today matched the TBS #14 ranked Cincy Flames against the TBS #11 ranked Houston Banditos. In the other half of the semi-finals bracket, the DQ Crushers squared off against the Arlington Tigers (TN). Both games where simply nail biters that went to the wire.
The Cincy Flames and the Houston Banditos were tied at 3 all after regulation play in a game that had been a test of pitchers. Huglund opened on the mound for the Banditos and pitched 5 oustanding innings before he was relieved by Shane Jesson who did an outstanding job pitching the two extra innings. Tyler Fedko and Erwin had split duties on the mound with each pitching slightly more than 3 innings.
In the extra innings, Alerick Soularie stepped to the plate in the top of the 7th inning with 1 runner on base and slammed a 2xRBI homerun that proved to be the final margin of their 5-3 victory over the TBS #14 ranked Cincy Flames as the Bandito defense buckled down and refused to stifled the Flames comeback rally attempts in the bottom of the 7th .
Pictured above is Bandito Alerick Soularie as he connects on his game winning home run to right field. This blast sent the Banditos into the championship game where they were set to play the DQ Crushers - ranked #15 nationally by TravelBallSelect.
Across the field, the Crushers had just earned their slot to the title game after their nail biting 6-5 win over Arlington Tigers.
