Orlando, FL

It was a pitching duel between the Diablitos Baseball Club and the Phantoms of Jacksonville (FL) in the second day of pool play in the AAU National Championships. The Diablitos tacked on some early runs in the first that played out to be the difference in their 3-1 win over the Phantoms.

The Phantoms would be the first to erase the goose egg in the first when catcher Tyler crossed on a Lorenzo single to put Jacksonville up 1-0. In the bottom half the Diablitos put their bats to work crossing two base runners. Jacob Rosales got the rally started taking one for the team. He would later be driven in on an Adam Alviso RBI double. Alviso was later driven in by Tanner Tredaway who got an RBI double for himself to take it to 2-1 Diablitos. From there the Diablitos crossed one more base runner to put it at 3-1 where it would end. It would be Rosales who crossed the dish on an error.

Winning pitcher in the contest was Jaimie Silva who pitched a fine game. Jamie went the distance striking out eight giving up four hits. Leading hitters in the contest were Adam Alviso (1-2), Tanner Tredaway (1-2), and Natuanial Gavuia (1-2).
