2009 9U Charlotte Megastars Print E-mail

The 9U Charlotte Megastars are off to a great start in 2009. The 9U Megastars capped-off a great Fall/Winter season by winning four of the six tournaments entered and finished with a 16-8 record. This team has high expectations and should deliver on the field in 09’.

The exciting and talented roster includes Brandon Poplin, Woodson Alexander, Josh Swartz, Matthew Lucas, Jason Odem, Logan Mullis, Matthew Moser, Noah Ricther, Sam Howell and Cameron Greene. This roster has developed into a national contender for 2009. The Megastars strongest area is pitching. This team has strong starting pitching in Alexander, Moser, Howell, Odem and Mullis. The Megastars are very good on defense with athletic outfielders Poplin, Swartz, Richter and Greene and three strong catchers Lucas, Alexander and Moser. This team has the ability to hit with anyone and puts tremendous pressure on opposing teams because of their team speed.

The 9U Megastars will travel across the Southeast to find good competition. They are scheduled to play in the following tournaments; Super NITs in Atlanta, Kingsport, and Charlotte. They will also play in the All-Tournament Players Park National Championship in Atlanta.
