14U- CA USSSA State Championships- Championship Game Print E-mail

With the score 6-2 and TBS #1 ranked Team Rawlings Elite leading the TBS #10 ranked All American Sports Academy, Augie Telly All American Sports Coach rallied his team to a State Championship, upsetting #1 Team Rawlings Elite.

Down to there last two outs and the score Rawlings 6 All American 5. Ivan Sanches stepped into the box with runners on 1st and 2nd. Sanches would deliver with a double to tie the game. With 1st base open Rawlings Intentional Walk Logan Lombana to load the bases. With the infield and outfield playing in, Jimmy Brakka who singled in his last at bat, was at the plate. Brakka wasted no time, the first pitch he saw from Rawlings Pitcher Tyler Midenberg #21 he drove over the right fielders head for the game winning hit.

Rawlings Coach David Hall when asked about All American Sports Academy said "All American Sports Academy is the best team we have played all year."

Augie Telly All American Coach, told his boys, "we did not drive 6 hours to lose."

All American Sports Academy finished the tournament with 3 Wins and One Loss, with their only loss coming at the hands of the Rawlings Elite in pool play.
