14U- CA USSSA State Championships- #1 Team Rawlings Elite vs. #23 West Covina Bombers Elite Print E-mail

With a win over the So Cal Cougars the West Covina Bombers Elite were ready to battle the #1 Seed Team Rawlings Elite.

With both teams struggling at the plate to get some offense going, the pitchers from both sides were in control of the game.

Rawlings Pitcher Arron Porter was outstanding. Porter only allowed 3 hits and had 6 strikeouts in 6 innings.

Bombers Pitcher David Denson kept Rawlings offensive attack off balance with his curve ball. Denson threw 3 innings, striking out three and giving up two hits.

David Flecher  drew a walk with one out for Team Rawlings. Aarron Porter followed with a single. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the 4th inning, Rawlings went for the double steal a past ball then allows Flecher to score from 3rd. 

Jayson Baladez pitched the 7th inning to record the save for team Rawlings on to win the game 1-0.
