Welcome to the life of a 2008 TBS 2nd Team 13U All-American. Trent Shelton was born June 24th, 1994 to Steve and Cathy Trent. Trent and his parents currently reside in Lafayette, California. Trent is a left-hander who played first base and pitcher for the Lamorinda Generals from 2004-2008 and in 2009 he will play for the NorCal Baseball Team. Trent’s friends and family have nicknamed him “Bubba.” At 6’2 and 160 lbs, “Bubba” will be a formidable force in the middle of the NorCal lineup as well as on the mound. In 2008 Trent lead his team to a total of nine tournament championships.

We asked Trent a few questions and here’s what he had to say:

Trent’s favorite position in baseball is pitcher because it’s where he competes best on the diamond. His favorite MLB player is the 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hamels because he has an incredible change-up and a great work ethic. Trent has two favorite MLB teams for two distinct reasons, the Yankees for their tradition and the Oakland A’s for their young talent. At 6’2 it’s no wonder that Trent also plays basketball. When he isn’t at the ball field or on the basketball court you can find Trent hanging out with friends or working out at the gym. His favorite subject in school is math, precise calculation is key when pitching. His favorite food is New York Steak and his favorite movie is “Step Brothers.” His favorite baseball park to play in is the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona, Spring Training home of the Padres and Mariners. During the games, Trent chooses gum over seeds and Gatorade (G2) over water. NorCal Baseball’s rival team is the East Cobb Baseball team. Trent’s best asset to his NorCal baseball team is being a great teammate.
