I’d like for you to meet my friend “J Smooth”, this is the life of 2008 TBS All-American Josh Hart. Josh was born on October 2nd, 1994 to Marcee and Brady Hart. Josh has two brothers and one sister, he and his family live in Snellville, Georgia. Josh plays centerfield and pitcher for the TBS #3 ranked East Cobb Astros. Josh has a good arm, a quick bat and very quick feet, which makes him a threat to steal at all times. Last year, Josh had a .467 batting average for the Georgia Bandits. The coaches at Shiloh High School where Hart attends surely have a great one on their hands.

We met up with Josh and asked him about his life, here’s what he had to say:

“You get to make memorable plays,” the answer that Josh gave when asked why centerfield was his favorite position to play. His favorite MLB player is Manny Ramirez “because of his consistent approach at the plate and consistent hitting.” Josh’s favorite MLB team the New York Yankees, are currently 26-20 and 2nd in the AL East standings. Hart’s favorite food is BBQ and his favorite movie is “Step Brothers”, which seems to be a very popular movie for these young men. Hart’s favorite subject in school is social studies and when he’s not studying, Josh likes to play basketball and listen to music. We were able to conduct this interview and watch him play at his favorite park to play in, the East Cobb Baseball Complex in Marietta, Georgia. Josh said the Atlanta Monarchs are the rival team of the Astros for the 2009 season. Josh brings hard work and determination to the park everyday. When asked what his best asset to the team Josh answered “I always give my best, I play hard every game and leave nothing left on the field.”

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with Josh and wish him and his Astros teammates the best this season.  And the next time you see Josh at the park, tell him that you read about “J Smooth” on TBS.
