Let’s dive down deep, together, into the life of TBS 2008 All-American Joseph "Jo-Jo" Marlow. Joseph recently turned 15 on June 20th, so we here at TravelBallSelect.com would like to wish him a happy birthday. Joseph lives with his parents Jeff & Jackie Marlow and his brother Justin in Kennesaw, Georgia. “Jo-Jo” is one of the main reasons that his East Cobb Astros 14U team is ranked #1 by TBS.  Marlow plays first base, third base and pitcher for the Astros. Marlow uses his height and weight to his advantage at 6'3" and 215 pounds.

We met up with Marlow at the Battle in the South Tournament to ask him a few questions and here’s what he had to say:

Marlow’s favorite Major League Baseball player is Chipper Jones because “he's an Atlanta Brave.” Marlow’s favorite food is rice and his favorite movie is the popular Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly film "Step-Brothers". His favorite Major League Baseball team are his hometown Atlanta Braves. When “Jo-Jo” isn’t playing baseball he is either fishing or hunting. “Jo-Jo” says his rival team is the 15U Team Georgia squad. His most memorable baseball moment to date was a grand slam he hit the day this interview was conducted against the Indiana Blazers at the 14U Battle in South held in Rockwood, Tennessee. His biggest fans are his mom and dad because they both support him unconditionally. Marlow sees himself playing for Kennesaw State University in five years although his favorite college team are the Tennessee Volunteers. Joseph feels like he got his athletic ability from his dad.

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with Joseph and wish him and his Astros teammates the best this season. And the next time you see Joseph at the park, tell him that you read about “Jo Jo” on TBS.
