2009 14U Rawlings A Print E-mail

The reigning 13U MO/KS USSSA State Champions, the Rawlings A’s, have found their stride early in their 14U campaign.  While returning the core from the 13U team, the A’s have also added three impact arms in 09’.  The A’s are off to a 12 – 1 start, winning 3 out of the 4 tournaments they’ve entered.  The Rawlings A’s are in their 6th year together with an impressive combined record of 220 – 49.  They have accomplished this by competing at the Major/National level in USSSA, Super Series, Triple Crown, NABF, and AAYBA tournaments.

At 9U, the A’s finished 9th out of 72 teams at the USSSA World Series.  This was followed up by finishing 3rd at the Super Series Nationals at 10U.  At 11U, the A’s next stop brought them to the AAYBA World Series where they were crowned as the Champions, while also finishing 3rd out of 40 teams at the NABF World Series.  This team would go on to have success at 12U, but really started to hit their stride last season at 13U.  Last year, the A’s claimed the MO/KS state title with a huge win over TBS #11 ranked Mac-N-Seitz in the championship game.

This season, the A’s are looking to add even more accolades as they plan on attending many major events including the Super NIT in Kansas City, MO, the Michigan Elite NIT, Super Series and USSSA State tournaments, the Premiere Baseball World Series in Joplin, MO, and the AAYBA World Series in St. Louis, MO. TravelBallSelect wishes the 14U Rawlings A’s much success in their 2009 season.
