13U MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP

The Beaver Valley Red are the 2009 Freedom Classic Champions after their 10-4 championship win over the So Cal National Travel Team.

Familiar names to everyone watching the games this weekend took over in the Championship game.

Beaver Valley dominating starting pitcher Carrington Bell pitched all 7 innings, giving up only 3 hits, with 7 KO's and 4 walks while holding down the So Cal team to only 4 runs.  Bell also starred at the plate as he went 2 for 3.  This was nothing out of the norm for him this weekend as every time Beaver Valley played he seemed to be on base.

 

Also contributing in the Beaver Valley hit attack were Nick Longo, who went 3-4 with a HR, Pat Kukalis going 2-3, and Dan Rowbottom went 3-4.

Leading the So Cal NTT team were Cameron High who pitched 5 innings with 3 KO's and Dalton Davis who pitched 2 innings and struck out 5 Beaver Valley Red batters.  Kel Johnson had a standup double and Justin Bellinger hit another home run, this one a 2 run shot.  Look for the So Cal team to challenge for the Championship at the upcoming Fall Desert Classic!
