Updated 5-25-09 1. Terror Baseball - LA - The Terror have proven that they are not afraid to play anyone by their schedule so far in 2009. They have played from Atlanta to Houston in the big tournaments and are undefeated. No other team in the country can say that, period. There may be a couple of teams out there that could possibly upset them, but until it happens they belong at and deserve to be # 1. Congratulations from TBS to the well respected boys, coaches and families from the Bayou state for this accomplishment. Well deserved ... 2. HB Nitro Elite - CA - The Nitro has lost some games in 2009, but TBS feels that when the boys from across the country that is on the Nitro's roster show up to play at any tournament they are going to be very hard to beat. They have it all now and will probably add even more big names before the end of the year show comes around. 3. Banditos Black - TX - The biggest most powerful team in country has dropped a couple spots in the rankings due to some in states losses. Don't let the Banditos place in the rankings change your opinion about the boys from the Lonestar state. With the power they have they can beat anyone in the country with one swing of the stick on any given day. 4. Team Rawlings Elite - CA - This Southern California team came of out the shoot hot and ready to play. This Rawlings organization has a history of being able to win big tournaments so don't think that this years 13U team will be any different. They will be finely tuned when it matters. 5. PC Vipers – GA - This may be the most improved major player of all the 13U teams to date in 2009. The Vipers have added a kid or two to this years roster that has helped with an already very talented team. As most of you already know they have one of the most dominant pitchers in the country. Do not over look these kids at the end of the summer, because TBS feels they have a legitimate chance to be on top at the end of the season when it's most important. 6. Chandler Reds - AZ – Many are probably surprised that this team did not make the top 10 TBS pre season rankings and you should be. TBS feels that it will not be long before the Reds are among the other teams at the top of the charts as long as they continue to play the way they have been playing. This well coached and fundamental team can compete against anyone in the country.
7. Terminators - AL - 2009 has not been a season like the past seasons for The Terminators. They have gotten a very late start due to school ball and kids not being eligible to play. The boys in Black in Yellow have not got to play in a complete tournament yet in 2009, due to weather. They have the kids in place to compete and beat anyone in 2009 so don't count them out just yet. 9. East Cobb Astros - GA – The Astros may not have the results at this time that everyone might have expected, but don't count them out as they have to much talent on that roster not to start turning some heads shortly. TBS feels they will have everything working right when they travel south in August. 10. Tri State Arsenal - NJ - This team has already turned some heads in 2009. TBS feels that the boys from New Jersey will be able to compete even more than they have shown over the past few weeks once they get a few tournaments under their belt in 2009. This team has a chance to go a long ways this summer. 11. Charlotte Megastars – NC – The Megastars continue to prove game after game that they can compete in the big tournaments. After good showings already in 2009 at the big tournaments, they should be considered a force at anytime. 12. Nitro - AZ - This Arizona team has proven early that they can beat some of the best 13U teams by winning early in the season. They look as they are competing well in 14U as well. 13. PPO Red Dogs - FL - The Red Dogs fell a little short at the last big tourney in FL but don't give up on them just yet. This is a very respected and well coached team that has been leading the way of the talented 13U teams in S Fl over the past month or so. 14. BV Reds - PA - Brian Smith's squad may have gotten off to slow start in 2009 but they proved this past weekend in Michigan that they belong on the charts. Look for the boys from the Keystone to improve even more as the season goes on because they have plenty of athletes. 15. SF Extreme - FL - The Extreme has shown all season that they are willing to travel the country to play against the best in hopes of making it to see Mickey and gang in August. They have fell short but don't count this talented team out just yet. 16. Germantown Giants – TN – TBS looks forward to seeing this team compete in the BIG tournaments in 2009. With the tools the Giants have in place they could make some noise as the season winds down. 17. Central Florida Red Raiders – FL – The Red Raiders are no stranger to success in the Sunshine State of Florida. Depending on which players on the roster show up to a tournament on any given weekend they can bring home the hardware against anyone. 18. Tomateros de California – CA – This new Tomateros team continues to compete well week in and week out against some of the best teams in the very talented So Cal area.
19. Team Hammer – FL – This former Team Rawlings team from central Florida has not had the start they had in 2008. However, when they get the bugs worked out in 09 TBS feels that they could be competing for a national championship come the end of the summer. These boys have been successful in past seasons because they know how to win when it counts.
20. FL Flash - This central Fl showed up at the Sunshine State Super NIT and surprised some by taking home the crown. The majority of these kids are not strangers to success as many of them were on the Juice team that won the Tournament of Champions in Memphis in the late summer of 2008 Honorable Mention CBC Storm – FL Texas Stampede - TX San Diego Stars - CA
Miami Ballers - FL
NC Predators – NC |
