A 2008 TBS 12U All-American Honorable Mention Kevin Wade, lives in Mission Viejo, California with his parents Mark and Kathy and his older brother Kyle. Kevin was born July 19th, 1995. He plays pitcher, first base and third base for both the TBS #1 ranked 14U Team Rawlings Elite and the TBS #4 ranked 13U HB Nitro Elite. Standing in at 6’0 and weighing over 175 lbs. it’s no wonder Kevin plays for two of the top teams in California. Last year for the HB Nitro Elite, Kevin had a whopping .403 batting average with 42 RBIs. How far will Kevin help lead his team in 2009?

We asked Kevin a few questions and here’s what he had to say:

Kevin’s favorite position to play is pitcher because you can control the outcome of every game your out there on the mound. This pitcher changed numerous outcomes in a positive way for the San Francisco Giants, Tim Lincecum, is Kevin’s favorite MLB player. His favorite MLB team is the Los Angeles Angels. At thirteen years of age and already 6’0 feet tall, Kevin also plays basketball. His favorite food is steak and his favorite movie is “Step Brothers.” When Kevin’s not on the basketball court on the diamond you can find him fishing and biking. His favorite subject in school is history and his favorite park to play in has been the historic Disney Wide World of Sports. Kevin says his Nitro Elite team’s rival team is the 13U Team Rawlings Elite baseball team. Kevin’s best asset to the team is his all-around play, hitting, pitching and defense.

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with Kevin and wish him and his team the best this season.  And the next time you see Kevin at the park, tell him that you read about the “his world” on TBS.
