What makes a TBS All-American? 2008 TBS First Team All-American David Boyle knows, Boyle is one of the hardest throwing right-handed pitchers in the 13U age group and is one of the groups’ truest power hitters. David Boyle was born on August 7th, 1995 to Alan and Edda Boyle. David and his brother Devin, along with his parents, live in St. Augustine, Florida. Boyle is a pitcher, catcher, third baseman and shortstop on the TBS Honorable Mention 13U CBC Storm as well as the 14U CBC Storm. Boyle’s Storm teammates call him “DJ”. At 5’10” 185 lbs. Boyle is a beast on the mound and at the plate; proof for the pudding, Boyle had a .423 avg. with 38 homeruns last year for the Jax Storm Black.

We asked David a few questions and here’s what he had to say to the TBS fans:

David’s favorite food is chicken and he likes to watch any kind of war movie. His favorite position to play is pitcher because “he likes the challenge and the thrill of pitching.” His favorite park to play in is the Cooperstown Dream Park in New York. His favorite Major League Baseball player is speedster, Jose Reyes. Boyle says Reyes “is fun to watch, he’s fast, he’s a great hitter and he is always trying to make things happen.” His favorite MLB team is last year’s American League Champions Tampa Bay Rays. When Boyle isn’t watching his Tampa Bay Rays you can find him racing motocross, working out at the gym and hanging out with his friends. DJ’s best asset to his CBC Storm team is his leadership.

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with David and wish him and his CBC Storm teammates luck this season. And the next time you see David at the park, tell him that you read about “DJ” on TBS.
