The 13U Indiana Prospects had a very successful 2008 season with an impressive seven tournament championships. Included in those seven championships was a win at the Cooperstown All-Star Village for the week of July 25th -August 1st. The Prospects blasted the Cooperstown competition going 10-0 and belting 32 homeruns for the week. Expect the Prospects to have a few more dominating weeks left in the tank for 2009. The 2009 Prospects welcome four new players in their quest to qualify for the Elite 32 World Series at Disney. Khristian Reynolds, Gage Rogers, Cameron Clark and Grant Malott, are all key additions that other teams will need to watch out for in the upcoming season. These four players will complement an already talented roster made up of Chase Allen, Brendan Burns, Alex Garringer, Mac Lozer, Matt Nash, Andrew Riley, Garret Schlotter, and Nathan Upchurch. Coached by Mike Nash, Andy Upchurch, Jeff Lozer, and Tim Burns the Prospects are setting the bar high in 2009, starting with a trip south to Tennessee to compete in the Battle of the South. They will also travel to Sterling Heights, MI and Columbus, OH to compete in the Super NITs and Ypsilanti, MI to compete in the MSA Elite NIT. If things go as expected, the 2009 Prospects will be traveling to Orlando the first week in August to play in the Elite 32 World Series. The Prospects began their off-season with a championship at Round Tripper in Westfield, IN. The Prospects prevailed over the Indiana Bulls, Pony Express (twice) and Brownsburg Baseball to claim the Championship trophy. Winter practices will start on January 3rd and the first scheduled games for the Prospects are April 25-26 at the Ohio Force 4-Team Invitational. TravelBallSelect would like to wish the 13U Indiana Prospects much success in their upcoming 2009 season.
