August 20, 2009 Cooperstown Dreams Park – Week 11 “Elite 8” play has now been completed with only 1 of 104 teams remaining unbeaten. The Final 4 match-ups are set to go. Following are highlights of the games that lead into today’s “Final 4”.

The #1 seed Tustin Mets (CA) got a 3 run homerun from Jordan Gonzalez that helped move his team past the #8 Jersey Shore Stallions (NJ) by a score of 7-4. The Mets will face the Pottsville Pythons (PA) later today.

The #2 seed Las Vegas Warriors fell to #7 RISE Baseball (VA) today by a 12-7 margin, despite the fact that 4 Warriors (Grenier, Lewis (2), Kraghan, and Colton) hit a total of five homeruns. But, the RISE responded with more than enough to win by an impressive margin as Craig and Rick each hit homeruns. The RISE will advance to the “Final 4” where they will face a team that is on a roll, #19 Connecticut Cardinals.

The #6 seed Moorpark Mud Dogs (CA) fell to #19 seed Connecticut Cardinals today by a score of 6-4. The Cardinals’ Burger went 3 for 4 and also pitched two shutout innings to seal the Cardinals win, while Rocha hit a homerun to boost the Cardinals into the “Final 4”. They will face #7 seed RISE Baseball (VA).

The #20 seed Diego Stallions (CA) fell to #12 seed Pottsville Pythons (PA) by a score of 5-2. The Pythons will advance to the “Final 4” where they will face the #1 seed Tustin Mets Baseball Club (CA).
