A 2008 11U All-American Quentin Davis was born September 27th, 1996 to Steve and Angie Davis. Quentin has two brothers, Igor (19) and Carlos (17) and one sister Lori (23). Quentin and his parents currently reside in Orlando, Florida, hometown of the TBS #3 ranked 12U Central Florida Diamondbacks. Quentin’s friends and teammates have nicknamed him simply “Q”. Quentin plays right field, pitcher and catcher for the Diamondbacks. At 5’8 156 lbs. “Q” can be quite the intimidating presence on the mound. Quentin and his teammates have started off the season with a 29-0 record with five tournament championships in a row. Quentin currently leads the team in the homerun category with six.

We asked him a few questions and here’s what he had to say:

Quentin’s favorite position in baseball is pitcher because he likes to be involved in every play on the diamond. Josh Beckett is his favorite MLB player because he’s a great pitcher and he plays for his favorite team the Boston Red Sox. Quentin also plays football in his hometown of Orlando, he is a full-back for the South Orlando Jr. Bears. His favorite food is salad and his favorite movie is “Mickey”, a movie about the great Mickey Mantle. His best subject in school is Math. If you’re trying to find Quinton and he’s not at the ball field or on the football field you can also find him playing outside with his friends and playing backyard football. His favorite baseball park to play in is the Auburndale Diamondplex. Quentin says the Diamondbacks rival team is the Florida Fire. During the game “Q” chooses seeds over gum and blue Gatorade over water. His best asset to his team is his great pitching.

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with Quentin and wish him and his team the best this season.  And the next time you see Quentin at the park, tell him that you read about the “Q” on TBS.
