A 2008 TBS 11U 2nd Team All-American, Hayden Senger is known to his teammates as “the say hey kid”, his grandfather called him that the day he was born, Hayden also wears #24. Hayden was born April 3rd, 1997 to Kevin and Susan Senger. He has a younger sister, Delaney and lives in Liberty Township, Ohio. He has played for the West Chester Sluggers his entire baseball career and in 2008 he led the 11U Sluggers to a remarkable 60-8-1 record and a #5 ranking by TravelBallSelect. At 5’4 and 130 lbs. Hayden is a beast behind the plate and up to bat.

We asked him a few questions and here’s what he had to say:

Hayden’s favorite position is catching because he loves throwing people out. His favorite MLB player is Albert Pujols. It’s no wonder that the St. Louis Cardinals are his favorite MLB team. Hayden’s favorite subjects in school are recess and math. He plays basketball and football when he’s not playing for the West Chester Sluggers. His favorite foods are fried chicken and Graeter’s double chocolate chip ice cream. Hayden’s favorite TV show is Sports Center and his hobbies include wakeboarding, water skiing and Xbox live. His favorite baseball park to play in is none other than the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex. The West Chester Sluggers rival team is the Cincy Flames, “it’s always a good game when we play each other.” Hayden’s best assets to his team are “giving his best every game and if his best is not enough (according to his coach that is rare), then his teammates are there to pick him up.”

TravelBallSelect is thankful to have had the opportunity to visit with Hayden and wish him and his team the best this season.  And the next time you see Hayden at the park, tell him that you read about the “say hey kid” on TBS.
