2009 12U Wiers Baseball Academy Warriors (IL) Print E-mail

Morris, IL

The upcoming season is looking very promising for the 12U Warriors.  The team has been hard at work since November when the Warrior practices began.  The coaching staff is very excited about this year’s team and the potential it has.  Team members are #5 Chase Krumviede, #7 Jacob Snider, #9 Jacob (Skippy) Martini, #10 Ryan Elliott , #12 Brandon Rubertus, #14 Mike Wolz, #15 Jack Gillette, #17 Ryan Pullara, #21 Nick Dodge, #22 Kyle Wallbaum, #24 Evan Snyder, #25 Trystin Raikes.

The Warriors will play in the Premier division of the I-80 League.  This league features quality competition that will fully prepare the boys for the six tournaments they will compete in throughout 2009.  The Warriors plan to play in the USSSA Early Bird Tourney in Rock Island IL, "Play the Turf Tournament" in Jacsonville IL, Joey Kledzik Memorial Tournament in Plainfield IL, Aurora City of Lights Tournament in Aurora IL, and the prestigious Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament in Cooperstown NY.

The 12U Warriors are lead in the pitching department by hard throwing righty's Kyle Wallbaum, Trystin Raikes and Evan Snyder.  Completing the pitching staff will be Jake Snider, Ryan Elliot, Mike Wolz, Ryan Pullara and Nick Dodge.   Nick Dodge, Mike Wolz, Trystin Raikes, Jack Gillette, Skippy Martini, and Brandon Rubertus will provide depth and experience at all outfield positions.  Competing for third base duties will be Nick Dodge, Ryan Elliott and Jake Snider while Evan Snyder, Kyle Wallbaum, Jack Gillette, Mike Wolz, Trystin Raikes, and Ryan Pullara will compete for the middle infield positions.  The Warriors have incredible depth at the catching position as 10 of the 12 players have experience there.

The Warriors open play on April 11 vs. St. Joes and shortly after, they will head to Rock Island for the USSSA Early Bird Tournament.  TravelBallSelect would like to wish the 12U Warriors much success in the 2009 season.
