TRAVELBALLSELECT'S 2009 12U ALL AMERICA TEAM (Part 3 of 4) Print E-mail

Beaux Bridgeway - Team Rattlers (TX) - Beaux led the way for this top
pitching staff on their way to the NYBC Title.

Cal Stevenson - TABU (CA) - TABU's success was triggered by the speed
of Cal. In addition to his .500 batting average, Cal walked 25 times
which got him in position to steal a team high 39 bags.

Rainer Ausmus - Houston Lightning (TX) - Rainer was a solid performer
behind the dish and at the hot corner while posting a .461 average and
hitting 10 homeruns.

Danny Cepeda - Tamiami Outlaws (FL) - Maybe the sleeper in the bunch,
Danny shined in the ever tough South Florida competition.

Casey Kelly - Inside KC Sports Blues (KS) - Casey is a repeat AA player
and probably the best shortstop/pitchers in the Midwest as evident by
his selection to the USA Baseball 2010 NTIS in Cary, NC.

Jordan Greene - Charlotte Megastars 13U - This smooth fielding second
baseman converted on over 90% of his opportunities in the field and is
the prototype lead off hitter with close to a .400 average to go along
with his 40 walks.

Anthony Dahl - Houston Lightning (TX) - This SS/P was called on to
pitch many big games for the Lightning and relied on his great curve
ball to recorded 13 wins in 15 decisions. He contributed at the plate
with a .394 average.

Seth Pierce - Home Plate Chilidogs (GA) - Seth, a left handed pitcher
caught the eye of many as the ace for the top 25 rated team from
Georgia.

Cody Miller - Santa Clair Redhawks (CA) - Cody, P/C, had a terrific
season with a .476 average, .850 slugging percentage supported by 19
homeruns.    Defensively he was known to be a 'wall' with minimal past
balls and his strong arm kept many base runners from advancing.

Joe Uvelli - The Future (IL) - Joe put up some impressive numbers
against his northern opponents to include .575 batting average, 72 runs
batted in, .736 slugging percentage, 11-2 pitching record, 113
strikeouts, and 3 shutout games.

Josh Sanchez - SoCal Mavericks (CA) - Josh not only has a strong arm
but it is accurate which is important as a catcher. He is a coach on
the field and is allowed to call the pitches for the team's staff.
Offensively, he is just as impressive with a .636 average and 8
homeruns.

Cole Tucker - Arizona Dessert Blaze (AZ) - SS- Cole has the tools
needed to be a great shortstop - excellent feet, soft hands and a big
arm. Offensively he swings the bat from the left side to hit for a .513
average in addition to collecting 64 walks to make him a great leadoff
hitter.

Julian Cox - Beaver Valley Red - A six foot tall center fielder? If
you're Julian then it is possible as he is one of the nation's best athletes.
He is also a force at the plate - hitting an impressive .548 with 16 homeruns.
With a75 mph fastball, and a nasty hook, Julian has become a very dominating
pitcher.

Brendan Rogers - Diamondback Baseball (FL) - TBS had Mr. Rogers on the
Players to Watch List and if you got a chance to watch him, he excelled.
Brenden was part of a one, two punch that put fear in opposing teams.

Michael Palos - Tomoteros & Lamorinda Cougars (CA) - Michael is
recognized as one of the top players in California regardless of which
team he plays for during the year.

Isiah Gilliam - ECB Shamrocks (GA) - Isiah is another gifted player
from this Georgia team. As a third baseman he was recognized for his
abilities at the plate where he had a .492 average, .546 OBP, 9 HR,
AABC World Series All-Star Team Selection, and selected as the World
Series Batting MVP with a .603 average.

Drew Buckholtz - Hard Core Baseball (GA) - Some say Drew is the best
catcher in the Southeast. TBS says he is one of the best in the
country. He has a strong arm, great bat and can get up on the bump and
dominate.

Blake Hamilton - Georgia Legends (GA) - This right handed pitcher
impressed many coaches across the country with his ability to compete
at the highest level on a good but not quite yet elite team.

Rodney Hutchinson & Jeremiah Johnson - Westchester Sluggers (OH) - At
5"8 and 155 lbs, Rodney is another pitcher/catcher who swings a nice
stick and can control a game on while on the mound or behind the plate. Jeremiah
is the bookend to Rodney as far as size at 5'8 165lbs. He too
toes the rubber but brings it from the left side. He is over-powering
and relies on the 'heat' to collect outs.
