11U- Triple Crown Summer Nationals (SC)- Virginia Wolfpack vs. Georgia Stampede Print E-mail

Myrtle Beach, SC. The Georgia Stampede used four different pitchers to shutout the Virginia Wolfpack and win a pitcher’s duel 3-0 at the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in a semi-final match-up.

Wolfpack starting pitcher Tyrin Everette breezed through the first two innings without giving up a run, he received however, no run support himself. In the top of the 3rd inning, Stampede first baseman, William Hodges, broke the scoreless tie with a solo homerun over the left field fence.

Kevin Brown started on the mound for the Stampede, Brown threw two innings to pick up the win. Johnathan Miller, William Hodges and Caleb Gonzalves pitched wonderfully in relief for the Stampede, shutting down the great Wolfpack offense.

The Stampede would add some insurance runs in the top of the 4th inning. Turner Davis doubled to centerfield and William Hodges was intentionally walked, which lead to two runs when #16 doubled them home.
