When you hear the name Mac N Seitz, you know there will be good competition. The organization founded by Mike Macfarlane (Mac) and Kevin Seitzer (Seitz) has established a premier name around the country. (Mac) and (Seitz) offer lessons to all of their players in their organization as well as any other players outside of the organization who would like to better themselves. The facility is equipped with a full size infield that you can move the bases for all ages, 8 batting cages, 8 hitting tunnels, and an indoor track for speed and agility. When you walk in, you might run in to some of the best players in the Big Leagues coming in to get instruction from the some of the best instructors. The Mac n Seitz Indians 11U have continued their winning tradition. This year’s team has an impressive 59-9 record to date in 11U tournaments. Winning their last 5 out of 6 tournaments, The Indians have done their share of traveling to find competition outside of Missouri and Kansas. They traveled to Southaven Mississippi finishing 2nd, losing to the Texas Nationals in the Championship Game. In Omaha, Nebraska at the Triple Crown SlumpBuster Tournament, The Indians went through the competition without a loss to win the Championship. Then the team traveled back to KC Missouri to win the USSSA MOKAN State Tournament. The Indians then headed to Cincinnati Ohio winning the Tournament of Champions going undefeated and beating the Oklahoma Elite in the Championship. The Indians then won the Triple Crown MOKAN State Tournament going undefeated to win the Championship. The Indians ended up 5th last year in the Elite 24 and earned their bid this year for the Elite 32 but passed it down to go to a different part of the Country. Look for the Indians to be the team to beat in the Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in August. The Indians are coached by Shane Halter, Shane was in the big leagues for 9 years playing as a utility player for the Royals, Angels, Mets and Detroit. Shane says “this team has been on a roll, I think we can play with anyone inthe country.” “We are seven deep in pitching, Our lineup hits the ball from top to bottom. Defensively we are as good as anyone, Each player on the team can all play the infield as well as the outfield.” We have built this team from a core group of players and each year have found a kid with a lot of talent to make us even better. The team members are: Isaiah Campbell, James Cosentino, Tanner Fox, Gunner Halter, Steven McKay, Rosario Messina, Riley Pint, Kyle Stein, Jacob Watkins. TravelBallSelect would like to wish the boys from the Mac N Seitz Indians much success in the rest of the 2009 season and their bid for a National Championship in 2010.
