10U- Triple Crown Summer Nationals (SC)- Beaver Valley Black (PA) vs. NC Force (NC)

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina- The Beaver Valley Black used a strong pitching performance and timely singles to defeat the NC Force 6-1 on Thursday, July 23rd in the 10U Triple Crown Summer Nationals.

BV Black starting pitcher Ryan Petrone threw three scoreless innings, striking out four and earning the win. NC Force starter M. Wilkinson pitched well through four, but appeared to tire in the fifth. Wilkinson had five strikeouts on the day.

The BV Black took the lead in the third when Christian Laffey, Tucker Skerbetz, and Zach Logan each hit RBI singles to make the score 3-0.

The NC Force attempted to rally in the fourth with Tristen Zimmer now pitching for the Black, but shortstop Cade Negley turned a smooth double play to get out of the jam.

In the fifth the Force got on the scoreboard when M. Absher launched an RBI double to the right field fence (3-1). The Force would only score one run in the inning, however, as relief pitcher Zimmer got an inning ending ground out to second with the bases loaded.

The BV Black added three more runs in the fifth: Tristen Zimmer nubbed an RBI single past the pitcher and Zach Kokoska� knocked a 2-RBI single to right field.

Cade Negley closed out the game, throwing a scoreless sixth inning to secure a 6-1 Beaver Valley Black victory.
