10U- Greensboro Super NIT- Bracket Play Results Print E-mail

The 10U age group at the Greensboro Super NIT was comprised of 21 teams including four TBS ranked teams. These include: #5 Carolina Angels, #22 RBI Hawks, Honorable Mention Greensboro Titans and Honorable Mention Charlotte Hurricanes. One of these four teams won it all, earning a berth to the Elite 32 and bragging rights in the Southeast.

In the Sweet 16 round the NC Cleveland Indians blanked the Black Sox 12-0. The Raleigh Phoenix out slugged the Charlotte Megastars 13-8. In a close game, the Virginia Bay Sox edged the Carolina Chargers 9-8. The RBI Hawks took on the MSA Black and won 9-1. The Charlotte Hurricanes won convincingly 13-5 over the Wayne County Mustangs who had tied the #5 Carolina Angels in the pool play round. The Greensboro Titans sent the favorites home beating the Carolina Angels 7-5 in the Sweet 16 round. The Knoxville Stars took care of the Carolina Hitmen 10-2. The Carolina Rage beat the FVAA Titans 6-2.

The Quarterfinals proved to be great match-ups between the NC Cleveland Indians against the Raleigh Phoenix. The Indians prevailed with an 8-7 victory. The Greensboro Titans won a nail biter against the Charlotte Hurricanes 12-11. The RBI Hawks continued their offensive display beating the Virginia Bay Sox 10-2. The Knoxville Stars took care of the Carolina Rage 9-4.

In the Semi-Finals the Knoxville Stars powered past the Greensboro Titans 12-10. The RBI Hawks snuck past the NC Cleveland Indians 6-4. The Finals match was between two undefeated teams, the Knoxville Stars who were 5-0 versus the RBI Hawks who were also 5-0. In the end the RBI Hawks were too much for the Knoxville Stars pitching defeating the Stars 10-2 to win the Greensboro Super NIT Championship Trophy.
