Nationals, Marshals earn top seeds at 10U Texas Regional

The Texas Nationals Team (TNT), ranked No. 8 in the travelballselect.com 10U poll, crushed its pool play competition, outscoring their opponents 23-0 in two easy victories.
As a result, the Nationals earned the top seed in the 2009 Elite Travel Classic Texas Regional 10U bracket. Joining TNT in earning a first-round bye was the Marshals 10U, which picked up wins over the North Texas Express (9-1) and Bulldogs Baseball (6-3).

The Banditos-Black, the No. 2 team in the travelballselect.com rankings, won their first two games, but it was not enough to earn a first-round bye in bracket play. The Banditos were undeterred, as they won their opening bracket game, opening a 10-1 lead and then holding on for a 10-5 victory over Knights-Red.

In other opening-round bracket play, the fifth-seed Bulldogs Baseball and sixth-seed Dallas Tigers each held form with victories.
The No. 14 seed Dallas Patriots pulled off a 16-3 upset over Force Baseball, while the No. 10 North Texas Bulldogs knocked off fourth-seeded LEGENDS, 16-7.
