10U- Elite 32 World Series (FL)- #7 Bay Bombers (FL) vs. Charlotte Megastars (NC) Print E-mail

Orlando, Florida. Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Bay Bombers used a team effort at the plate in their 10-3 win over the Charlotte Megastars on Thursday, July 16th in the 10U Elite 32 World Series.

Bombers starting pitcher Peyton Millirons helped himself offensively in the first, knocking an RBI single to put the Bombers up 2-0. But Megastar starting pitcher Jared Mathewson settled down in the second to retire the Bombers hitters 1-2-3.

In the bottom of the second the Megastars hit back-to-back singles to start the inning but were unable to move a run across the plate. The Megastars threatened again in the third, but Bombers starting pitcher Peyton Millirons picked off Jake Whitcomb at first to end the inning.

The Bombers began to run away with the game in the fourth when Clay Parker hit a 2-RBI single to make it 6-0 Bombers.

Jake Dellicolli responded for the Megastars by driving in two runs in the fourth. The Megastars attempted to rally more in the fifth, but Bomber pitcher Peyton Millirons got J.B. Beamon to strike out with the bases loaded to end the inning.

The Bombers would add two more runs to cap off a 10-3 victory on the day.
