10U - ASP Last Chance Super NIT Results Print E-mail

June 14, 2009 Pace, Florida – the 10U Bay Bombers from Lynn Haven, Florida have captured a berth to play in the USSSA Elite 24 World Series to be held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in July.

The Bombers won this berth by going 4-0 in the tournament.  The Bombers opened this tournament with an 8-0 "No Hitter" win over the Crescent City A’s of New Orleans, Louisiana.  They followed this win with a 10-2 spanking of the Navarre (FL) Raiders to earn the #1 seed going into the championship rounds.

In bracket play, the Bombers faced a toughest competitor, Stixx Baseball of Leesburg, Georgia and walked away with a close 6-5 win as they moved into the championship game.

This game would prove to also be a tough match, but the Bombers outlasted the Gulf Coast Lightning 5-3 win the championship and the berth to Disney’s Elite 24.   This win was impressive as the Lightning came into the finals after bombing the TBS #19 ranked Germantown Giants 16-5 in their semi-finals game.
