9U Preview - Disney's Elite 24

The 2008 USSSA Elite 24 World Series – Disney World, Florida: This year, TravelBallSelect.com has added the 9U age group to our coverage. At this point, we have not issued rankings for the 9U teams since these teams typically play in more local tournaments and travel less. We will be reporting on the daily results of the 9U age group. So stay tuned and check back with us for daily updates as the results of the 2008 9U Elite 24 Disney championship plays forward. This years top five teams by USSSA points are:

1. Gulf Coast Lightning – this team is hot and has won 20 games in a row including going undefeated in their last four tournaments.

2. Banditos Black – this team is also on hot streak wining 15 of their last 16 games while taking home five championship trophies during 2008 play.

3. Texas Nationals – this is another team that is coming to Disney with lots of momentum. They have won 30 of their last 31 games including four tournament championships during this run.

4. Memphis Tigers – this is a powerhouse ball club with a long tradition at each age level. This 9U team is no exception. They come to Disney with an overall record of 32 wins and 15 losses. They have won a total of six tournament championships.

5. Bullet Baseball – this Lake Charles Louisiana brings an overall record of 33 wins and 15 loses during 2008 play. This record includes four tournament championships.
