13U Elite 24 Update: Team Anderson vs Banditos Black Print E-mail
No. 3 Team Anderson 7, No. 1 Banditos Black 6

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - No. 3 Team Anderson knocked off top-ranked Banditos Black for the second time in three days, prevailing 7-6 Friday. The win propelled Anderson to the semifinals of the 13 & Under Major Elite World Series at Disney's Wide World of Sports. 

Zack Weise hit a game-winning, RBI single through the left side of the infield in the bottom of the seventh inning. Team Anderson mounted a two-out rally in the bottom of the last inning.

"That's what they do," said Donovan Wong, Team Anderson's coach. "They do not quit. They play the whole ball game." 

Art Vidro went 3-for-4 with two runs, and Cana went 3-for-4 with three runs. Seve Romo went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Anderson, losing 6-3, scored six runs in the sixth inning to tie the game up.

Wong thinks Team Anderson has a good shot the rest of the way. 

"Our pitching is pretty well set up," Wong said.
