LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- 13U USSSA Elite 24 - Disney:  Day 3 of play - double elimination bracket play

The East Cobb Astros, ranked #8 in the nation by TravelBallSelect, scored eight runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 12-2 victory over Beaver Valley Red Wednesday in the first round of bracket play of the 13 & Under Major Elite World Series at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
 
Bruce Kirkpatrick pitched three scoreless innings and hit a 3-run homer for the Astros, and Tyler Wilson went 3-for-3 with two runs. Brandon Whiteford and Jojo Marlow added two hits and two runs apiece for the Astros.  The Astros will now move on to play the Ark-La-Tex Tornado Thursday at 8 a.m.
 
The Astros were up 4-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning. They then strung together eight-run rally that ended with a game-ending triple from Wilson because of the 10-run rule.
 
The Astros scored in every inning.
