   13U East Cobb Astros

The 2008 13U East Cobb Astros are coming off a NABF National Championship and was Ranked 3rd in the country by USA Sports Ranking and ranked 7th by Travel Ball Select for the 2007 Season.  The Astro’s have 7 returning players and picked up another 7 players to make this team one to reckon with in pursuit of another National Championship.

The returning players are Joseph Marlow, Nick High, Johnny Flading, Jamari Moore, Zac Bailey, John Davis, and Tyler Wilson.  These guys will bring size, speed, power and experience to the 2008 Astros team.  The Astros new additions will provide power pitching, unyielding defense, and more offense to make this team very dangerous this season.  Tyler Graham, Anthony Coward, Chris Brown, Brandon Whiteford, Aaron Anderson, Brad Sansing, and Dillon Swaggerty are the new players joining the Astros this season.  The combination of the new and the returning players give this team the pure speed and power necessary to compete at the National Level.

The Astros have committed to play in the USSSA Super NIT's in Atlanta, Tri-Cities TN, and in Pensacola Fl.  They will play in the Battle in the South and other top ranked tournaments.  They are hosting the Elite Travel Classic on April 18th at ECB and the Battle of the Best, a USSSA Qualifier on March 14th. Tony Coward, the Astros Manager has set the team goal to win the USSSA Elite 24 in Orlando at the end of the season.  Travel Ball Select will be watching!
