The “Elite Eight” is now set and ready to face off to determine who will play in the "Final Four" - a game that will determine who will play for the 2008 NATC Championship tonight;  But, first, here is how the “Sweet Sixteen” teams fared this morning:

Sweet Sixteen” Results (Upsets are shown in “Blue”):

The #5 Encinitas Reds (CA) beat the #21 Alta Loma Storm (CA) by a score of 14-5

The #6 ASD Bulldogs (CA) beat the #22 Camarillo Pirates (CA) by a score of 7-4
Fowler pitched a great game for the Bulldogs delivering 9 strikeouts, and Randle hit 2 HRs to help his Bulldogs get the win; for Camarillo, Miller hit 2 HRs, and Steven Suarez hit a Solo HR for the Pirates.

The #7 Long Beach Dirtbags (CA) beat the #23 Everett Bobcats (WA) by 12-2
Brandon Kelliher hit a 2xRBI Home run for the Bobcats

The #9 seed Placentia Mustangs (CA) upset the #8 Team Akadema Bulldogs (NJ) by a score 9-7.
 
The #16 Team Anderson (CA) upset the #1 Long Beach Nomads (CA) 7-2

The #4 TEAM TBS (GA) beat the #13 BB Academy Knuckleheads (CA) 14-1
 
The #14 Minnesota BB Academy Blizzard upset the #3 Broward Red Dogs (FL) 9-7

The #2 BBl National Travel Team (AL) beat the #15 So. Cal Bruins (CA) 11-1
 
 The “Elite Eight” will face off at noon today. Here are the match-ups as they now stand:

#2 seed TEAM TBS will take on #5 Encinitas Reds
#7 Long Beach Dirtbags will take on the Boys of Baseball Nationals
#14 Minn BB Academy will face the #6 ASD Bulldog (CA)
#16 TEAM Anderson will take on #9 Placentia Mustangs


Stay tuned for updates as NATC week moves into the “Final Four” match-ups, and on to the Championship game tonight.
