After the first day of “Bracket Play”, only sixteen teams remain out of the 98 teams that started.  Here is how the top 16 seeded teams fared.


#1 seed Long Beach Nomads (CA) outlasted the #32 seed Tri State Arsenal (NJ) 3 to 2
#2 seed BB National Travel Team (AL) slammed the #34 seed Plainview Pythons (NY) 12 to 0
#3 seed Broward Red Dogs (FL) blasted #35 seed Brick Americans (NJ) 13 to 1
#4 seed Team Travel Ball Select (GA) sailed past the #29 seed Virginia Chargers (VA) 13 to 1
#5 seed Encinitas Reds (CA) beat the #37 seed Long Island Ducks (NY) 12 to 4
#6 seed ASD Bulldogs (CA) beat the #27 seed U.S. Baseball Stars (MI) 7 to 2
#7 seed Long Beach Dirtbags (CA) edged the #26 seed Long Island Playmakers (NY) 7 to 5
#8 seed Team Akadema Bulldogs (NJ) blasted the #84 seed New Jersey Shorecats (NJ) 19 to 1
#9 seed Placentia Mustangs (CA) beat the #41 seed Long Island Riptide (NY) 9 to 2
#10 seed Southern California Storm (CA) Lost to the #23 seed Everett Bobcats (WA) 4 to 3

Here how the rest the top 20 seeded teams fared:

#11 Team One (CA) beat Los Alamitos Angels (CA) 8-7, but lost to the #22 Camarillo Pirates (CA) 9-8
#12 Irvine Blue Wave beat #57 Peninsula Stars (CA) 3-0, but lost to #21 Alta Loma Storm (CA) 2-1
#13 BB Acad. Knuckleheads (CA) beat #59 West LA Wave 7-0 and #20 Tri-County Cobras (NY) 8-5
#14 Minnesota Blizzard beat #51 Gloucester Storm (MA) 12-0 and #19 East Mass 17-2
#15 So Cal Bruins beat #63 Team New Era (NY) 12-0 and #18 North County Longhorns (CA) 4-2
#16 TEAM Anderson (CA) beat #49 Seattle Select 9-8 and #17 La Verne Eagles (CA) 19-10
#17 La Verne Eagles (CA) beat #68 Valley Stream Hawks 12-0, but lost to TEAM Anderson (CA)
#18 North County Long Horns beat #47 New Jersey Bandits  12-5, but lost to #15 So Cal Bruins
#19 East Mass All Stars beat #46 Toms River Raiders 5-4, but lost to #14 Minn Blizzard 17-2
#20 Tri-County Cobras (NY) beat #45 Walden Vikings 4-3, but lost to #13 BB Acad. Knuckleheads 8-5
