12U Elite 24 Update: [TX] Banditos Black - Dallas Tigers Print E-mail

No. 1 Banditos Black 12, No. 12 Dallas Tigers 4

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Facing a 4-0 deficit in the first inning, the top-ranked Banditos Black turned to their biggest strength: Power.  The Banditos belted three home runs and the first six batters scored in a 12-4 victory against the No. 12 Dallas Tigers Thursday in bracket play of the 12 & Under Major Elite World Series at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Colton Weisbrod hit two home runs.  He has homered in three consecutive at bats dating back to his previous game.

Cam Miller had a homer and four RBIs, and Gabe Klobosits also homered for Banditos. The Banditos now have 169 homers in 91 games this season.

"Our power can overcome anything," Banditos manager David Pinson said. "When these guys are on they're unbeatable."

Blake Richards earned the win, throwing all four innings while allowing two hits and no earned runs. Chris Cavazos and Izzy Edwards had two hits apiece.

The Tigers' Chris Ramirez and Allan Winn both had hits in the losing effort.
