12U Update - Day 1 Pool Play wrap up at Disney's Elite 24

August 4, 2008 Disney Wide World of Sports arena, Kissimmee, Florida Day 1 of 12U Pool Play is now completed as the USSSA Elite 24 World Series. Following are highlights of some of today’s games:

# 3 ranked Terminators - 9 vs # 15 BV Reds - 1

Grayson Ivey started for the Terminators and pitched 3 innings giving up 1 hit with 7 Ks . Vance Tatum came in and closed the game on the mound in the 4th inning . TBS Player to watch, Brennan McKay, started for BV Reds on the mound with TBS Player to watch, Carrington Bell, coming in to relieve McKay .

# 14 ranked Team Anderson 4 vs # 5 American Avengers 2

Team Anderson came out in the top of the first swinging by hitting 2 Home runs. Lead off hitter Brian Menendez, who is just coming back to playing from an injury, and missed the Michigan Super NIT and the Battle in the South tournaments, lead off the game with a first pitch hit - HR . Matt Delvalle hit a 2 run homer in this first to allow Team Anderson to go up 3 - 0 in the first inning.

Team Anderson pitchers were Aaron Cross and Bryan Muniz. Avengers Pitcher, Zachary Brosch went the distance for the Avengers . Avengers battled back in the end but fell a little short.

# 3 ranked Team Rawlings - 5 vs Central FL Sting - 1
