12U Results - Super Series National Championship

12U Germantown Giants were Super in Memphis.

The 2008 Super Series 12U National Championship ended on Thursday afternoon and is was the TBS “Honorable Mention” Germantown Giants from Germantown Tennessee that claimed the National Championship. The Giants came into this National Championship tournament hot off of a runner up finish a few weeks ago at Cooperstown Dreams Park in week #3.

The Super Series National Championship tournament was an exciting week of baseball. After pool play was wrapped up the Memphis Tigers were the #1 seed, the TBS #3 ranked Terminators #2 seed, the TBS “Honorable Mention” SC Spartans Gold #3 seed, the Tulsa Hurricanes #4 seed and the Germantown Giants were the #5 seed.

Being the #5 seed did not bother the Giants as they went undefeated in bracket play. The Giants defeated the Texas Elite 8-6, the Memphis Tigers 3-1 and the SC Spartans 3-1 to make it the to the championship game. The Giants opponent in the title game was the SC Spartans Gold who earned their way to the final game by defeating the Mid South Bulldogs 15-9, the Terminators 7-6 and the Jackson Coyotes 10-3. The Giants defeated the SC Spartans Gold from Southern CA by a score of 13 - 1 in the championship game.

Congratulations to the Germantown Giants for winning the Super Series 12U National Championship and to the SC Spartans for their runner up spot.
