12U Preview - Cooperstown Dreams Park Week # 6

Lou Presutti and his great staff will begin week #6 at Cooperstown Dreams Park on Saturday July 12th, 2008. Leading the way as a pre-tournament favorite is the Jacksonville Storm Black. The Storm is the previous TBS ranked #16 team from the sunshine state of Florida. Their team will consist of a couple of big time arms on the mound, a solid defense and plenty of sticks to put runs on the board. The previously TBS ranked #22 team Beaver Valley Reds from Pennsylvania will also be a favorite going into week #6 at Dreams Park. Brian Smith and his Beaver Valley organization is no stranger to success at Cooperstown. The Reds have won 4 weekly championships at Cooperstown in the past. The Knoxville Stars will also be looking to play late on Thursday night. The previously TBS ranked #24 team will bring a lot of heart, determination and good athletes from the Smokey Mountain area of Tennessee. Other teams that should not be taken lightly are the Dirdin Dragons from Texas, the Hobgood Heat from Georgia and the Montgomery Dirtbags from Alabama. Could this week be the week that a team from Hawaii or Canada steps up as they have done in the past? Travel Ball Select will keep you posted as this week at Dreams Park unfolds.
