2008 12U Triple Play Titans (OH) Print E-mail

Triple Play Baseball Academy is operated by Legends of Ohio baseball. The lead instructor at Triple Play (Jim Humpal) is a member of two Baseball Halls of Fame and has coached dozens of players who received professional contracts at the Major League Level.

The Triple Play Titans will be entering its fourth season as one of Ohio's Premier Travel Baseball Teams winning over 160 games during the past three plus seasons. The Triple Play Titans continue to surge through this spring and summer sporting a 29-2 record, 8-0 in Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association ("CVBA") league play claiming four 2008 tournament championships.

The Triple Play Titans most recent championship was the Triple Crown "Battle on the Border". The Battle had some of the Top 25 twelve year old teams from Ohio and Pennsylvania including the Beaver Valley Reds from Pittsburgh (ranked 23rd nationally by TBS with two 12U TBS "Players Watch").  The Titans were victorious over the Reds by a score of 8-3 during the Titans march to claim the Battle Championship Crown going 6-0 in a span of 48 hours in 90+ degree heat. Nick Longo, Carter Freefield and Harrison Sigman of the Titans took the mound silencing the Beaver Valley bats.

The Titans 12U team consists of players within Cleveland's eastern suburbs.  The roster consists of Nick Jaworski, Nick Longo, Harrison Sigman, Carter Freefield, Evan Lovick, Zach Moses, Quillan Austria, Sam Gross, Cory Sharpnack, Ron Krsolovic, Kyle Russell, Joe Regalbuto, Caleb Potter and DJ Gati. The Titans are led by head coach Tom Lovick and assistant coaches Mike Moses and Gary Sigman.
