11U Elite 24 Update: West Chester vs Macomb - SEMI-FINALS Print E-mail

No. 14 West Chester Sluggers 3, No. 15 Macomb Mudhens 1

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Brandon Williams led the No. 14 West Chester Sluggers
to a 3-1 win against No. 15 Macomb Mudhens in the semifinals of the 13 & Under
Major Elite World Series at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Williams threw a complete game, and the only run the Mudhens scored came on an
error in the second inning.

The Mudhens had two runners on the fifth inning, but the threat was stalled. In
the sixth, the Mudhens loaded the bases with no outs but were unable to score
again.

The Sluggers jumped ahead 2-0 in the top of the second on a walk and a single.
Alex Malzone had two singles for the Mudhens, and Pete Zeimis also stood out at
the plate.
