11U Elite 24 Results: Simi Predators vs TABU

Play for 11U teams have now moved into the second day of double elimination bracket play match-ups. The 10am game matched the #2nd ranked TABU of Fremont, California against the #13th ranked Simi Predators, from Simi-Valley, California.

The TABU carried a 1-0 lead into the 3rd inning, but fell behind 3-1 to the Predators after three full innings. The Predators had gained the lead with a 2-run homer by Mike Palos, that was followed by hits from Thomas Costello and Blake Rutherford. But the TABU bounced back to add 5 runs in the top of the 4th. From there, they never looked back, as they added 3 more runs in the 5th, while allowing only 1 additional run by the Predators.

The 4th inning TABU scoring runs were driven by the offense from Devin Lehman, Kaden Verdin, Jake Sola, Cameron Smith, Ryan Milligan, and Anthony Robbins along with an RBI double by Mitchell Hart.

The Predators managed to add one run in the bottom of the 4th with a lead off single from Lucas Herbert who was driven home by an RBI single from Terrell Tate. From that point, the TABU pitchers Jake Sola and Mitchell Hart kept the Predator base runners from scoring.

In the 5th, TABU added 3 more runs fueled by singles from Cal Stevenson, along with 3 straight walks of Dyrda, Lehman, and Verdin (whose walk brought a runner home). From there Cameron Smith hit a 2xRBI single to finish off the TABU scoring.

The TABU will move on to face [TX] TEAM Rattlers at 8am Thursday morning, while the Predators will move down to face the SO CAL Mavericks later today.
