11U Elite 24 Update: [TX] Rattlers - [SC] Palmetto Flames

[TX] TEAM Rattlers 10 – [SC] Palmetto Flames 2
Play for 11U teams have now moved into the second day of double elimination bracket play match-ups today. The 10am games matched the #8th ranked [TX] TEAM Rattlers against the #22 ranked [SC] Palmetto Flames.

The Rattlers jumped up 3-0 after the 1st inning with Hits from Ted Hoffman, Chris Andritsos, Gerardo Murillo, and Nick Perez. The Flames answered with two runs in top of the 2nd inning based on a solo lead off home run from Dupree Hart, followed by a triple by Max Bazin, who then stole home.

From that point, Devryn Galloway got on base with a well executed RBI bunt. The Flame rally stalled when the Rattler right fielder, Terry Hoffman, made an outstanding diving catch to shud down the inning leaving Flame runners stranded on base.

The Rattlers then exploded to add 3 more runs in the 3rd and four more in the 4th to close the game early. This scoring exhibition was fueled by doubles from Gerardo Murillo, Hunter Lynn, and Nick Perez. In the forth inning, Murillo came back to hit a 2xRBI home run to ice the game.
The Rattlers will now move on to face [CA] TEAM TABU at 8am on Thursday.

The Flames will move down, in the make up bracket, to face ARMOUR Baseball. The winner of this game will have to win two straight in order to have the opportunity to move back into the Championship bracket.
