11U Elite 24 Update: TABU vs ARMOUR Baseball

11U USSSA Elite 24 Play moved into double elimination Bracket match-ups today. The morning games matched two teams that are nationally ranked by TravelBallSelect. The #2 ranked TABU facing off against #12 ranked ARMOUR Baseball. The TABU bats were active as they jumped to an early 3-0 lead after one inning of play. The ARMOUR pitching and defense stiffened and help the powerful TABU hitters at bay, allowing only 1 run in each of the 3rd and 4th innings. In the 4th and 5th innings, the ARMOUR showed a lot of determination by mounting serious threats - loading the bases. But each rally attempt was foiled by the pitching of TABU ace Kaden Verdin, backed with the solid defensive support that turned double plays that left eight ARMOUR runners stranded the bases.

In the bottom of the 5th, TABU bats piled on another 4 runs to close the game with 9-1. Key performances by the TABU came from Kaden Verdin, who pitched an excellent game and also contributed multiple hits. Several TABU players hit well. Of special note, TABU players with doubles and/or multiple hits included Trevor Larnach, Kaden Verdin, Cameron Smith – just to name a few.

The TABU will move on to face the Simi Predators of Simi-Valley, California. This game will be played Wednesday at 10am.

The ARMOUR will get a quick breather, and will then move into single elimination play TEAM Rattlers (TX) on Wednesday at 5pm.
