11U Update - AAU Nationals 3rd Round Play

Thursday July 23rd - The 3rd round of bracket play at Florida’s Disney Wide World of Sports complex was completed today as TravelBallSelect.com ranked teams continue to win and move toward a finals match up to win this championship.

The Virginia Storm (ranked 11th) shut out the Central Florida Diamondbacks (ranked 17th nationally) by a score of 7 to 0. The Storm will move on to face the East Cobb Astros (ranked by TBS as 7th nationally). The Astros blew past the Meteors (FL) with a 10-0 margin of victory. The Astros and Storm will face off on Friday morning at 10am. The winner of this game will await the opponent that emerges from the loser’s brackets.

In the loser bracket games today, the teams that have rebounded and still remain are;

The Florida Fire who will face the Hawaii Warriors tomorrow morning at 8am. The winner of this game with then meet the CF Diamond Reds at 10am.

Other teams still alive are the Home Plate Chili Dogs who will face off against the Mill Creek Hawks at 8am Friday morning. The winner of this game will then meet the Meteors at 10am.
